Who is Serkan Korkut?
I'm Serkan Korkut, a software engineer and builder based in Ankara, Türkiye, with more than ten years of experience in backend and distributed systems. I make developer tools for AI coding agents, including tokenmeter and mask2ai, and I write about AI agents and engineering on Medium.
How I work
For me, building starts with a problem worth solving. I care about who a product serves, why they would choose it, and what it takes to make it useful. I test assumptions, ship focused solutions, and improve through feedback.
I like making developer tools and products I would use myself: things that remove friction for engineers and earn their place in a daily workflow. Alongside that I focus on AI native systems and pipelines, agent orchestration, and distributed systems. My backend toolkit includes Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, AWS and OpenTelemetry.
This site brings together my technical writing and public code, with an emphasis on making engineering decisions and their trade-offs easier to understand.
